What you can do with what you buy

Use it. Modify it. Sell the rendered output. Use it in client work. Use it in games, films, animations, art, advertisements, tutorials, streams. Use it commercially, non-commercially, on YouTube, on a billboard. There is no revenue cap, no attribution requirement, no royalty.

What you can't do

Resell the raw files. The .blend files, the addon .py files, the preset files — these are licensed to you, not transferred. You can use them, but you can't put them up for sale, give them away as a download, include them in a competing product, or otherwise redistribute them.

What about rendered output

Yours. Completely. A frame you render with the NPR Shader Pack in a client commercial is yours to deliver, yours to sell, yours to do whatever you want with. We don't get a cut. We don't require credit. The license covers the source files, not the output.

What about derived work

If you make a product that uses CastleJello assets as one ingredient among many, that's a derived product. You can sell the rendered output. You can sell the derived product if the CastleJello assets are not the primary value. If you're packaging CastleJello assets with minor modifications and selling the package, that crosses a line. Email us if you're unsure.

What about training AI on the assets

You may not use the files to train machine learning models, generative AI systems, or any automated content generation pipeline. The exception is: derivative works where the model output is reviewed by a human and the result is meaningfully different from the input.

What about reverse engineering

You can reverse engineer the assets for educational purposes, for compatibility, or to port them to another tool. You may not redistribute the reverse-engineered results as a competing product.

What if I want to bundle

Email hello@castlejello.com. We license bundles to other Blender marketplaces and asset packs under specific terms. We're not hostile to it, but we want to know.

License termination

If you violate this license, your license terminates. The output you've already produced and delivered stays valid — we don't retroactively revoke rendered work. But ongoing use of the assets stops.
